The general objective of this master's degree is to offer integrated and comprehensive training for professionals in the area of mathematical modelling of problems in industry and companies. Graduates will have a versatile profile: they will have a solid foundation in mathematics with excellent technical training in computer science and will be prepared to use sophisticated computer tools with a mathematician’s capacity for abstraction. They will be able to run consulting firms, financial and industrial consulting services, data centres and so forth. Moreover, depending on the optional subjects that are chosen, they will be capable of researching in pure and applied mathematics and in computational sciences, or pursuing a professional career in a company. The master's degree professional track includes work placements in companies.
